  • 1978 won "Law and Order Magazine's Police Photographers award"
  • 1983 Westminster P.D.'s Officer of the year.
  • 1984 Midway City American Legion's Officer of the year.
  • 1986 Detective of the year award.
  • 1987 Midway City American Legion's Detective of the year.
  • 1987 Westminster P.D.'s Detective of the year.
  • 1988 Westminster P.D.'s Detective of the year. (They stopped giving the award after that year)
  • 1989 Westminster Chamber of Commerce Public Safety Merit Award.
  • 1995 Westminster Chamber of Commerce Public Safety Merit Award.
  • 1999 Received recognition by the Association of  Reserve Officers for my continued work in stalking and homicide investigations.
  • 2003 Defender of Justice Award, California State Assembly.
  • Nov. 19, 2003 City Council Resolution for lifetime achievement of outstanding police service for 31 years.
